Mastering the Art of Unboxing: Decent Espresso DE1

Discover the ultimate guide to unboxing the Decent Espresso DE1 with step-by-step instructions. Learn about the innovative design, included accessories, and essential tips for handling your new espresso machine.

Unboxing the Decent Espresso DE1

Unboxing the Decent Espresso DE1 is an exciting experience that begins with carefully cutting the tape to reveal the contents. As you open the box, you'll find a small piece of cardboard that can be easily removed. A handle is conveniently located at the opening, allowing you to pull the DE1 out securely. It's advisable to retain the box, as it can serve as protection for the flight case in case you need to return the machine. The new V2 flight case comes with detachable wheels stored inside, making transportation easier. Inside, you'll discover accessories like the water tank, drip tray, and a tablet with a stand. Explore the detailed unboxing video for a comprehensive guide.

Handling the Accessories

The DE1 package includes vital components like the portafilter, blind basket, and group head handle, located in a compartment beneath the machine. Additional accessories that complement your espresso-making workflow, such as the Decent funnel and puck rake, can be neatly organized within the base. When setting up, ensure you have the handles installed and the water tank filled. To implement the water tank, remove the back panel cover by lifting the lever and sliding the tank into position. The drip tray fits perfectly on the leg base, ready for use. For further insights on the flight case and its accessories, watch the informative video.

Final Setup and Tips

With everything unpacked, the next step is to get the DE1 operational. Remove the wheels from the water tank, fill it, and align it correctly for easy access. The setup process involves securing the power cables, aligning the USB-C on the tablet, and threading the power cable through the leg base. Once assembled, switch on the AC power and watch for the yellow light on the GHC, indicating the startup sequence. When the GHC light turns red, it's time to power on the tablet, connect the app, and wait for the DE1 to heat up. Once the 'READY' signal appears on the app, your DE1 is prepared to brew.
