From Box to Brew: Getting Started with the DE1XL
Transition seamlessly from unboxing to brewing with the DE1XL espresso machine. This guide walks you through each setup stage, from unpacking to final preparations, ensuring an optimal brewing experience.
Seamless Unboxing Process
The Decent DE1XL is designed for an intuitive unboxing experience. Start by flipping the box upside down and removing the cardboard to access the suitcase. Open it from any side, as there is no preferred method. Remove all protective materials, including corner protectors and the plastic sleeve, to reveal the machine components.
Begin by taking out the drip tray, drip tray cover, tablet, and tablet stand. Carefully lift the machine by placing one hand under the group head and the other behind the leg, ensuring stability during removal.
Setting Up for Optimal Use
The water tank, located beneath the machine, should be removed to access the power cable inside. Reinsert the tank with the handle facing outward, detaching the back panel and elastic band from the lever. Lift the lever, push the tank in, and lower the lever to secure it.
Insert the tablet into its slot, removing any protective plastic from the group head controller and mirror. Unpack and lock the portafilter into place, and screw in the group head handle. The power cable, designed to be hidden, should be threaded through the leg hole for a secure fit.
Finalizing Preparations for Brewing
To fill the water tank, lift the lever, pull it forward, and pour water using the steam wand. Slide the tank back into position and lower the lever. Ensure the standby switch is pushed in, indicating the machine is ready to power on. If the group head controller lights up without completing the self-test, check the standby switch's position. Once these steps are complete, your Decent DE1XL is ready for its first brew.
