Step-by-Step Guide to Setting Up Your DE1 Espresso Machine
Learn how to set up your DE1 Espresso Machine with ease. This guide walks you through filling the water tank, connecting cables, and ensuring your machine is ready for brewing.
Preparing the Water Tank
Setting up your DE1 Espresso Machine begins with filling the water tank. Start by removing the detachable wheels using the slits on the side. These wheels can be stored back in the suitcase. Once filled, ensure the handle is facing you for easy removal. Implementing the water tank requires lifting the lever on the back panel to slide the tank in place. Secure the drip tray on the leg base to complete the initial setup. Watch the step-by-step video for detailed instructions.
Connecting the Tablet and Power Cables
The next critical step involves setting up the tablet and power cables. Insert the tablet into the slot above the group head, ensuring it slides in seamlessly. Connect the USB-C port on the right side of the tablet and the USB port beneath it. This alignment is crucial for proper functionality. Remove all protective covers from the machine and tablet. The power cable needs to be threaded through the leg base, ensuring it's fully seated before flipping the main switch. Refer to the video for visual guidance on connecting the cables.
Finalizing the Setup
With the power cable in place, secure the back panel and observe the GHC for the yellow light, signaling the startup sequence. This light, along with the AC power illuminating, indicates the testing phase. Once the GHC light turns red, activate the tablet, open the app, and wait for the connection. The DE1 completes its heating cycle when the 'READY' signal appears on the app. At this stage, your DE1 is primed for brewing. For a comprehensive setup guide, see the video.
